Island Life

ubingroup

We did a spot of mountain unicycling at the Ketam Mountain Bike Park at Pulau Ubin one weekend. It rained in the morning so the ground was very muddy and slippery. I’ve got my 29″ Cross fitted with 175mm cranks instead of my usual 125mm ones so that I can get more control over rugged terrain but a smaller wheel would definitely have been more agile on the sharp turns.

We didn’t ride much because of the mud but the guys did try out one of the steeper slopes. Video to come in a bit.

There was a signboard that amused us though -

Webshop V2.0

If you’ve been to the shop in the past week and found links that didn’t work, we’ve (hopefully) fixed them all. There was a bit of trouble with how the URLs were being generated but that should be fixed now. We’ve also cleaned up a bit of the interface. Next stop – getting Paypal compatibility.

Surf on by to our webstore and if you spot anything amiss, please do drop us a note so we can get it fixed asap!

Official Singapore Unicyclists Tees

sgunigroup

We’ve a bunch of Singapore Unicyclists tees for sale, the same ones the team that went to APUC wore (evidence above).

They’re dri-fit material and we’re selling these at cost from the printers. If there’s sufficient demand, we might do another round of printing but the cost will vary depending on numbers. It’d probably not go below the $16 we got these for though.

The Influence of Unicycling

Picture from StarTribune.com

Old story but betcha didn’t know that one of the interweb’s best gifts is actually created for… unicyclists.

That’s the story about TinyURL and its creator, Kevin Gilbertson (who also runs the unicyclist.com forums). Read the interview here. Link is conveniently converted into a TinyURL.

Street Unicycling in Armenia

Some fast-paced street riding from Armenia. That’s a Qu-Ax Cross you’re seeing.
